Jason Reid, 'Welcome To Barbados' V4
Set in the idyllic beach side location of Bowen, Horseshoe Bay and it's granite boulders was always a great destination for us to visit for a change of scenery while I was living in Townsville.
Ready for the Fall
These are the moments I love, the time when athletes go quiet as they mentally prepare themselves for what they're about to do next. As Joe readied himself for his BASE Jump you could see all his concentration and focus come into play. Unlike what many people think, these athletes are consummate professionals, putting safety above any and all other factors, they're not adrenaline junkies, they want to live just like anyone else.
Leaping The Dog
Scotty on his first jump from this exit in the Blue Mountains.
Aboard the Isuelta
A weekend spent sailing around Magnetic Island with friends as we went in search of new climbing areas, including Deep Water Soloing
Hiker in Carnarvon Gorge
Exploring the amazing Carnarvon Gorge in Central Queensland. This area is astounding as it's almost an oasis in a desert, the surrounding area so arid and dry while the gorge itself is lush and full of brilliant flora, home to one of the worlds largest ferns even. This is also alongside a very rich history of Aboriginal habitation, with carvings and artwork found throughout the area.
Erlend Grøndahl Jansen, 'Guillotine' (24)
Erlend on his flash attempt of 'Guillotine' (24, 5.12a, 7a+) on Bentrovarto Wall, Sublime Point, Leura, New South Wales. A great day as we the fog making everything feel so much more atmospheric as it rose up around us, nearly in synchronicity with our efforts as we struggled up the route.
Freycinet Peninsula Circuit
Hiking the Freycinet Peninsula Circuit with Jade Mclean. This was the morning of our second day on our trip, both amazed by the incredible beaches and just how white the sand was, unsurprising given that this and nearby Wineglass Bay are said to have the whitest sand of anywhere in the world.
Brian Strehlow, 'Arachnus' (9)
Brian Strehlow finishing up the third pitch of 'Arachnus' in the trad climbing heaven that is Mount Arapiles. Located in Victoria, this amazing climbing area has just shy of 3000 routes, all on superb quality rock that takes gear placements so easily it's the best spot ever for budding climbers learning traditional climbing.
"Thoma Hawke" on 'Brutal Movements' (27)
Tom working his way up the final "delicious" corner crack feature of a Blackheath classic, 'Brutal Movements' (27, 5.12d, 7c)
Heart Attack Canyon
Jason Reid waiting at the bottom of the amazing 50m abseil into Heart Attack canyon with the rest of our group. This was an adventure that took us almost 16 hours of bush bashing, difficult navigation, but it was easily one of the most sensational canyons I've ever done in the Blue Mountains
